Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Plumbing Procurement Manager to oversee all purchasing and material management activities for our plumbing projects. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing plumbing materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and alignment with project needs. The ideal candidate has strong vendor relationships, deep knowledge of plumbing materials, and experience working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process for plumbing materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes, negotiate pricing, and issue purchase orders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and distributors.
  • Conduct project look-aheads with project superintendents and foremen to forecast material needs.
  • Ensure materials are delivered on time and in alignment with project schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to optimize stock.
  • Track and report on material costs, lead times, and vendor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, budgets, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management (construction or plumbing industry strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing materials, codes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Education & Experience:

  • 3–5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, with a focus on plumbing or construction trades.
